Stacia has been a practicing doula since 2015, and attending births in community and family since 1993. She supports parents in pregnancy and postpartum with preparing for birth, the postpartum period, navigating healthcare and other systems in Ontario, the many changes that come with parenting and is an active perinatal health researcher supporting families across all identities and configurations.

Stacia is also proud to be a co-founding member of the Ontario Black Doulas Society and an active board director at the Ocama Collective.  

She is a Black queer parent to 3 children including a set of twins. Stacia decided to become a doula after having doula care at the birth of her first child whose birth was supported at home with midwives. She is deeply committed to respectful support for all families that is centered in integrity, dignity and care.
